Wedding Rehearsal Information

Wedding Rehearsals should be scheduled approximately 2 months prior to your wedding date. Rehearsals should be scheduled with our organist, Normand Gingras (401-624-4463). They are usually scheduled the night before your wedding at 6pm. However, we will make every attempt to accommodate the date and time of your choice. Regardless of the date and time, all participants are expected to be on time (aim early). Remember that there may be other rehearsals or parish activities the same night as your rehearsal, so promptness is essential.

Anyone who has a part in the wedding should attend the rehearsal: all members of the wedding party, parents, and readers. All should be informed of the importance of the rehearsal and to the importance of beginning on time. Please remind your wedding party that they are coming to Church and that respect is due to the Church as sacred space, that is, no hats, foul language, or gum chewing. Please maintain a proper decorum.

The following items should be brought to the rehearsal:

  • Marriage License
  • "Together for Life" book with Mass selections already filled out
  • Unity Candle (if the florist isn't already bringing it)

Our parish staff can answer any questions you may have concerning flowers, readings, and the Mass in general.
