Rules for Photographers and Videographers
Please give this information to your photographer and/or videographer.
The Catholic wedding Ritual is a sacred moment. While the desire to record this event is understandable, at the same time the joy of this day should not be marred in any way by photo and taping equipment and those who operate it. As a help to photographers and videographers, we ask you please to follow these guidelines:
1. Photos and/or video may be taken during weddings.
2. Be unobtrusive and do not interfere with the ceremony.
3. During the ceremony, photographers and/or videographers should stay to the sides of the Church and are not allowed to enter the sanctuary.
4. Please keep an eye on the time. Remember that many times weddings are followed by other parish activities, so weddings need to start on time. Keeping the bride outside or in the limo for an extended period of time will inevitably delay the start of the wedding.
5. At the rehearsal, the wedding party will be told to space themselves out for the procession, so there should be ample space to take pictures. Pictures can be taken of the wedding party following the wedding Mass if the couple wishes to do so. There may, however, be time constraints if there are other Masses that day.
6. Our parish staff would be happy to answer any additional questions. Please feel free to call the Parish Office or stop by during the day.
