Saint Anne Parish and Shrine

Father Pierre E. Lachance, OP
1915-2006

Father Lachance was born in Fall River in 1915 and served Saint Anne Parish for most of his priestly life. He died on July 4, 2006 at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River where he had resided for three years. His passing coincided with the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the upper church. His sermons and conferences have inspired thousands of pilgrims who have visited Saint Anne Shrine.
