1906 – 2006
A concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the church was held on Sunday, 30 April 2006, featuring the Bristol Interfaith Choir joined by members of our own parish choir. Under the direction of Joan Roth and accompanied by Jonathan Davis, they sang selections by Mozart, Gounod, Franck, Fauré, and several others. Also included in the program was an organ piece, “Hommage a Ste. Anne” written by Mr Davis and dedicated to Normand Gingras, longtime organist and choir director at St Anne’s Parish (retired 2012 after 54 years of service). The concert featured 59 singers in all and was professionally recorded.
On Sunday, 9 July, Bishop George W. Coleman was the principal celebrant of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. A banquet was later held at White’s of Westport.
