Special presentation and Vespers

Friday, October 18th

s200_alcuin.reidBeginning at 5:00 pm, Dom Alcuin Reid, a Benedictine monk, deacon, and renowned liturgical scholar (one of his books carries a foreword by then-Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI), will give a brief talk (about 30 minutes) on how to improve your spiritual diet by mining the treasures of the Church’s Liturgy. In the Liturgy we find all that we need for our Christian life, because there we meet Christ and enter into His perfect praise of God and love of mankind. Sung Vespers (Feast of Saint Luke) will immediately follow, concluding around 6:00 pm. (Dom Alcuin will also assist at weekend Masses.)
